About EIH

The  Emergency Information Hub (EIH) is a dedicated platform that collects, verifies, and distributes critical information on available services and critical gaps during humanitarian emergencies. Firsthand, life-saving information for the people and organizations who need it most.

UNHCR

Vision

A humanitarian response ecosystem where no life is lost to a lack of information โ€” where every IDP, every local initiative, and every aid worker can act on verified, timely data.

Mission

To provide firsthand, life-saving information on services and gaps โ€” specifically to inform aid organizations, local initiatives, emergency responders, and internally displaced persons.

What we do

Map services and gaps in real time

We document what services are operational โ€” health, food, shelter, water, protection โ€” and where critical gaps exist, updated as conditions change on the ground.

Verify and relay firsthand reports

We collect direct testimonies from affected communities and cross-check them against field sources before disseminating โ€” no rumours, no unverified claims.

Inform response coordination

We provide structured, actionable briefs to aid organisations and coordination bodies so resources reach the areas of greatest need without duplication or delay.

Counter harmful narratives

We monitor and respond to misinformation that endangers displaced populations correcting false service information, exposing manipulation, and amplifying accurate community voices.
